What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses a timer to
break work into focused intervals (traditionally 25 minutes) separated by
short breaks (5 minutes).
What are Quick Presets?
Quick Presets let you switch between work/break durations with one tap:
- Default (25/5): Classic Pomodoro
- Short (15/3): Quick focused sessions
- Long (45/10): Deep work sessions
What themes are available?
Terminal – Pomodoro includes 4 developer-inspired themes:
- Pomodoro Red: Tomato-inspired theme (default)
- VS Code Dark: Familiar Visual Studio Code colors
- GitHub Dark: Clean, modern GitHub aesthetic
- Terminal Green: Retro terminal vibes
What is Developer Mode?
Developer Mode enables 10-second work/break cycles for rapid testing.
Perfect for developers who want to test timer functionality. Enable it in
Settings → Developer Mode.
Does the app track statistics?
No. Terminal – Pomodoro is intentionally simple and does not track
session counts, productivity statistics, or any usage data. Focus on your
work, not your metrics.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Make sure notifications are enabled:

iOS: Settings → Terminal – Pomodoro → Notifications →
Allow Notifications

Android: Settings → Apps → Terminal – Pomodoro →
Notifications → Turn on
Troubleshooting
The timer doesn't start
- Make sure you've tapped the timer display or start button
- Check that the app has necessary permissions
- Try restarting the app
Timer stops when I close the app
The timer should continue running in the background. If it stops:
- Check that background app refresh is enabled (iOS)
- Ensure the app isn't being killed by battery optimization (Android)
- Make sure notifications are enabled
