Your Privacy Matters: All your health data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share any personal symptom or food information.

Overview

IBS Symptom & Food Tracker ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app.

Data Storage

All symptom logs, food entries, pain levels, and health information are stored locally on your device using SQLite database. Your data is:

  • Never uploaded to external servers
  • Never shared with third parties
  • Never accessible to us or anyone else
  • Completely under your control

Analytics & Advertising

The free version of the App includes advertisements provided by Google AdMob and basic analytics through Firebase Analytics. These services may collect:

  • Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
  • App usage statistics (screens viewed, session duration)
  • Anonymous identifiers for advertising purposes

When you purchase the ad-free version, all advertising services are disabled.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Health Data

IBS Symptom & Food Tracker stores sensitive health-related information including:

  • Symptom logs with pain levels (0-10 scale)
  • Pain locations and symptom types
  • Food diary entries
  • Dietary trigger tags (dairy, gluten, etc.)
  • Timestamps of all entries
  • Personal notes

This sensitive health data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any server. When you export data (CSV or PDF), the files are generated locally and shared only through your device's share functionality.

Data Export

The App allows you to export your data in CSV and PDF formats. When you export:

  • Files are generated entirely on your device
  • No data is sent to our servers during export
  • You control who receives the exported files
  • Exported files are not stored by the App after sharing

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • Data persists as long as you keep the app installed
  • Deleting the app removes all your data permanently
  • We have no ability to recover deleted data

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and we don't operate servers, there is no data collection infrastructure.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • View, edit, or delete any symptom or food entry
  • Export all your data at any time
  • Clear all data in Settings
  • Uninstall the app to permanently remove all data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
