We do NOT collect any personal information.
Mead Maker is designed to work completely offline. All your data, including:
- Batch profiles (names, styles, ingredients)
- Gravity logs, temperature logs, and nutrient schedules
- Tasting notes and photos
- App preferences and settings
...is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
2. Advertising
To keep the app free, we display ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
- Device information (model, OS version)
- IP address (for general location)
- Ad interaction data
This data is collected and processed by Google AdMob according to their Privacy Policy.
You can remove ads completely with a one-time Pro upgrade ($9.99), which also stops all AdMob data collection and unlocks advanced features.
3. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app (e.g., which features are used most). This helps us improve the app.
Firebase Analytics may collect:
- Anonymous usage statistics (screens viewed, buttons tapped)
- Device type and OS version
- Crash reports
No personally identifiable information is collected. All data is anonymous and aggregated.

4. No Account Required
Mead Maker does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or log in. We have no user database.
5. Your Data, Your Control
Since all your batch data is stored locally on your device:
- Backup: Your data is NOT backed up to the cloud. If you uninstall the app, your data will be deleted.
- Delete: You can delete individual batches or all your data at any time from within the app.
- Export: Data export feature coming soon.
6. Children's Privacy
This app is intended for users of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect information from children or anyone under legal drinking age in their jurisdiction.
