Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a new pet?
Tap the "Add Pet" button on the Pets screen. Enter your pet's name, type (dog, cat, etc.), breed, birth date, and weight. Tap "Save" to create the pet profile.
How do I set up medication reminders?
First, add a pet. Then tap on the pet to view their profile, and tap "Add Medication". Enter the medication name, dosage, frequency (daily, weekly, or custom), and notification times. The app will send reminders at the scheduled times.
Can I track multiple pets?
Yes! Pet Pill Reminder supports unlimited pets. Each pet can have multiple medications with independent schedules and reminders.
How do I mark a medication as given?
Go to the Schedule tab to see today's medications. Tap "Mark Done" next to each medication when administered. You can also mark doses as skipped if needed.
Where can I see medication history?
The History tab shows a complete 30-day log of all medications. You can filter by pet and see which doses were given, skipped, or missed. This is perfect for vet visits.
How do I remove ads?
Go to Settings and tap "Remove Ads Forever" under the Premium section. This is a one-time purchase (no subscription) that permanently removes all advertisements from the app.
Is my pet data backed up?
All data is stored locally on your device for privacy. Currently, cloud backup is not available. We recommend keeping your device backed up regularly through your phone's system backup (iCloud for iOS, Google Drive for Android).
What happens if I delete a pet?
Deleting a pet will permanently remove the pet and all associated medications and history logs. This action cannot be undone, so please double-check before confirming deletion.
Can I edit medication schedules?
Yes! Tap on any medication to edit its details, including dosage, frequency, times, and notes. Changes take effect immediately for future reminders.
Why aren't I receiving notifications?
Make sure you've granted notification permissions to Pet Pill Reminder in your phone's Settings. Also check that Do Not Disturb mode isn't blocking app notifications. If issues persist, try restarting the app.
